Press Release Summary: Free, practical workshop for engineers

Press Release Body: Global sound and vibration expert, Bruel & Kjaer has announced
it will run a free technical workshop with practical, demonstration-oriented
sessions, including a full vehicle simulation test, on 12th November 2008.

Bruel & Kjaer's Sound & Vibration Workshop - aimed at anyone involved with
automotive, mechanical or general industrial engineering industries - is made up of
three sessions, starting with Advanced Acoustics.

Intended for NVH Engineers in the Automotive, Aerospace and other industries
responsible for identifying and reducing sources of noise, Advanced Acoustics is an
introduction to array-based Noise Source Identification (NSI) for both free-field
and complex fields. There will be demonstrations and case studies relating to
stationary noise sources and transient events, reviews of advanced techniques,
including 360 field of view measurements (Spherical Beamforming) and mapping of
non-planar objects (Conformal Mapping).

The second session will be In-vehicle Automotive SQ with NVH Simulator; a focus on
the role of Sound Quality in Automotive industry, binaural recording techniques,
mapping of roads and test tracks, sound Quality measurements, use of vehicle
simulators in NVH process, interactive use of NVH data and jury testing.

The final session is Analysis Techniques with PULSE. This will be a general sound
and vibration analysis workshop, focusing on the latest data analysis tools and
applications used by technicians today, including hardware and software tools for
easier, quicker and more precise measurements. The session teacher will identify
what's new in data acquisition hardware, demonstrate unique Bruel & Kjaer
measurement technologies, such as Dyn-X and REq-X, plug and play transducers and
introduce the company's newest hardware technologies, including PULSE LAN-XI.

The three sessions are due to run during the morning of Wednesday 12th November and
will be repeated that afternoon, at the University of Warwick in Coventry.
